About the Speakers

Regine McDavid (Memphis '21)

Regine McDavid is an elementary educator, coach, historian, licensure test advisor, and TFA Fellowship Recruiter in the Greater Memphis Area. With over four years of classroom experience, she is passionate about student success and building supportive school communities. She is pursuing a graduate degree in Educational Leadership, with the goal of becoming a principal. Regine hopes to continue making a meaningful impact on students and inspire the next generation of educators and leaders to do the same.

Mackenzie Douglas (Appalachia '23)

Mackenzie Douglas is a 2023 Teach For America corps member teaching middle school science in the Appalachia region. Mackenzie attended UNC Chapel Hill, where she majored in Environmental Studies.

Sarah Jones, Director, Events, Teach For America

Sarah Jones will host this conversation with Regine and Mackenzie. Sarah is the Director of Events with Teach For America’s Recruitment Enablement and Marketing Innovation team. Prior to joining staff, Sarah taught high school life and physical sciences for eight years in San Diego, CA. She was her school’s Health Career Pathways coordinator and Resident Leadership Academy facilitator, and she remains passionate about helping students reach their personal and professional goals through education.
