Career and Leadership Center works to support corps members and alumni through the entire career development process to help them achieve their personal and professional goals.
Graduate school partnerships include over 100 graduate programs including top-ranked business, education, government and public policy, law, medical, math, science and engineering, and social work schools that offer benefits for corps members and alumni, including two-year deferrals to participate in Teach For America, course credits for the corps experience, waived application fees, and special scholarships and awards.
School leadership initiative seeks to accelerate the path to the principalship for qualified alumni by fostering structured relationships with district, charter, and graduate school partners on both the national and regional levels. These partnerships will offer ready access to teacher-leader, school management, and professional development opportunities for alumni looking to build school leadership skills. Teach For America will also provide qualified alumni with the tools and resources necessary to effectively navigate the public and charter school recruitment and selection systems, ultimately resulting in principal placement.
Elections initiative aims to increase alumni interest in running for and winning elected office.
Alumni web site offers tools for career development and civic engagement, and enables alumni to find and collaborate with each other.
Alumni summits, held in various regions each year, enable alumni to learn from each other and from national and community leaders and reflect on what more must be done to realize our vision of educational excellence and equity.
Alumni magazine and ongoing communication help sustain alumni commitment toward our vision and advance their thinking in this pursuit.
